Learn More About Bathlifts

Bath lifts provide a solid, reassuring platform for lifting yourself down into, and up out of, the bath. This gives the user the chance to enjoy a good soak without fear of being unable to get out of the bath. As long as you can sit on the lift when it is raised to the height of the bath and swing your legs in and out you have the bathing problem solved - without any need for new plumbing. The bath lift which we offer here, as well as the bathing cushion, are operated by a rechargeable battery. All these products will not lower you into the bath unless they have enough charge in the battery to lift yourself out again.

In deciding whether to have a bath lift or a bathing cushion there are advantages to both. They both perform the same function - getting yourself up and down in the bath so that you don't have to try to stand up and lift yourself in and out, with all the discomfort and risk of slipping that this may cause. However the bath lift does this on a solid platform that takes you close to the bottom of the bath but not all the way down. The cushion, on the other hand, deflates right to the bottom of the bath but arguably feels a little less solid.
